| Product Features | Details:This vintage traditional wool rug features a Sparta design, defined by its bold, finely drawn tribal patterns and complementary colorways of crimson red and deep gold. More specifically, while the medallion-style field design employs a very delicate stylized assortment of blossoming flowers and seedlings (complementing the autumnal color scheme), the border contrasts with very sharp black Turkish symbolism including the akimbo, a symbol of maternity that may also indicate a female weaver behind the carpet. While the beige middle border seems to emphasize this design choice, the innermost and guard borders repeat a brighter variation of red to further accent the natural imagery, as well as new muted blue symbols resembling running water.
