| Product Features | This absolutely stunning cut lead crystal vase is by one of the most premier glass houses in the world, Waterford of Ireland. Measuring a large 9-1/4”x5-1/2”, it has lovely diamond cuts, cathedral window cuts, & indented dots connected by infinity swirls, all in a curvaceous hourglass shape! It’s the Colleen pattern on the top & bottom 3rd, but what I found in research is that the lower center infinity design & shape was introduced as part of a special giftware collection. The hubs & I inherited this piece from a great aunt in the 1990’s, & by the hallmarking on the base, this beauty dates to pre 1990, I’m not sure of what year. I didn’t have a chance to meet this special woman, but the hubs said that she never found a significant other, as she was married to her job with Bergdorf Goodman’s NYC,& was a complete workaholic! She always had the most extravagant items in her house & she wouldn’t allow the children in certain rooms for fear of her prized possessions being broken. She was very kind to have left a piece for each of her family members, & we’ve enjoyed it for many years now.She’s in EVC, there is a tiny flea bite on the rim, but it’s quite old as it’s extremely smooth, might have even been a manufacturer’s flaw that wasn’t caught, but worth mentioning, please view the last heavily magnified pic. It’s come time for the great downsize into retirement, & this beauty just can’t come along to the new home, so she’s priced to sell for a new owner to cherish! | ||
