| Product Features | This gorgeous antique necklace is late Victorian - Edwardian era (can’t specify exact timeframe since I’m not an expert)! It’s entirely gold filled, and has a purple glass stone as the center focal point. It has stunning gold filled filigree designs and is a lavaliere style!Purple color in mourning jewelry- a little known fact about the Victorian/Edwardian times is that purple signified the second year of mourning. In this second year, people no longer wore black, but were not entirely out of mourning yet, and thus purple was a popularized color for the in-between period.Vintage, sold in original, unrestored condition,expect age appropriate wear and see all photos to make your own judgements on condition. The necklace does have tarnishing on the metal as you can see in the up close photos but is still very wearable. -length approx.15 inches -weight approx. 7 grams -marked 1/20 12k gold filled on back of filigree area and on clasp-clip closure antique clasp- purple glass stone- bow, leaves, and other intricate floral detail- collector’s piece, rare, antique, classic, timeless, versatile, heirloom piecePlease see my other listings as I have many more gemstones, antique jewelry , and add new listings daily!
