Solar for Agriculture

We are a REC Certified Solar Professional.  What does that mean to you?

A REC Certified Solar Professional (RCSP) is an individual who has received certification from the Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) Registry. The RCSP certification is awarded to professionals who demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and experience in the field of solar energy.

To become an RCSP, individuals must pass a rigorous examination that covers a broad range of topics related to solar energy, including solar system design, installation, and maintenance, as well as the financial and regulatory aspects of solar projects.

The RCSP certification is widely recognized as a mark of excellence in the solar energy industry, and it demonstrates a professional’s commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices. It also provides assurance to customers that the RCSP is qualified to design and install solar energy systems that meet high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Solar energy can play an important role in the agriculture industry, providing a reliable and sustainable source of energy for various farm operations. Here are some but certainly not all of the common ways solar energy is used in agriculture:

  • Irrigation systems: Solar pumps can be used to pump water from wells or other sources to irrigate crops, eliminating the need for diesel or electric powered pumps.
  • Pivots: Solar power can be used for pivot irrigation systems to provide a reliable and sustainable source of energy.
  • Shops: Solar energy can be used to provide power, heat and light to your shop buildings.

By utilizing solar energy, farmers can reduce their reliance on fossil fuels, lower their energy costs, and improve the sustainability of their operations. Additionally, solar energy can provide a source of power in remote areas where grid-tied electricity may not be available.  Expert Electric can assist in evaluating all opportunities to use solar power to your advantage.
