| Product Features | Details:Granulated 22K 18K gold ring with untreated natural 6x4 oval faceted iolite size 8.0. Bezel & granules are 22K gold, back of bezel & shank are 18K gold for strength. Shank is about 2.75 mm wide & 0.9 mm thick. Back is stamped 18K & 22K. Total weight of ring is 0.085 troy ounce. Condition is new, never worn. Gift box included. Will ship on the next business day after payment. Completely hand fabricated, even granules handmade; no castingall rings are unique. Pure gold is alloyed to 22 & 18K, poured into ingots & then hand rolled into sheet & drawn into wire to fabricated these rings. Granulation is an ancient technique involving the fusion of metal pieces at temperatures near their melting point. High karat gold is used because of its long melting range. Any size pieces can be fused, but it is especially useful for very small detail such as granules so that their distinctness is not blurred by solder. Great skill is required to fuse the granules without melting the piece. Shipping is free. I ship USPS 1st class insured exclusively.
