| Product Features | A single strand of large, hand-knotted white baroque freshwater pearls. Definitely Vintage. Freshwater pearls are grown in mussels rather than oysters, primarily in lakes and rivers. Baroque pearls, defined by their non-spherical and irregular shapes, have been highly sought after since the Renaissance for their unique character. Modern cultivation techniques in the late 20th century allowed for the production of larger, more lustrous pearls that rival saltwater varieties. Excellent condition with consistent luster and minimal surface pitting. The hand-knotted silk thread appears secure and intact. 1990’s vintage | ||
