Made in Italy, this wallet features a brown leather trim and a canvas fabric type, with a distinctive diagonal striped pattern. It includes classic features such as a billfold, credit card slots, and a coin pocket, all in a bifold design. The wallet also includes the iconic Gucci logo as an accent, adding a touch of luxury to its retro 70s and 80s theme. Comes with Certification of Authenticity. Canvas and stitching is still beautiful. Signs of use on leather trim is normal with age. No cracks in leather and mild edge wear noted. Hardware is fading from original gold. I consider all of this to add character to this unique find. This piece hails from the Gucci Boutique era of the 1970s and early 1980s. The diagonal pinstripe design with the rope-like linked GG motif was a signature aesthetic under the direction of the Gucci family before the brand's revitalization in the 1990s. The interlocking 'shooting star' GG clasp is a hallmark of this specific period's accessory line.
