Jewelry made from the iridescent carapace of the scarab was popular during the Egyptian Revivalism in the Victorian era during the early 20th century. This scarab has a lovely iridescent green shell that makes these ancient creatures so captivating and magical also look at his curled up legs on the underside of the pendant! So neat! The metal is unmarked - testing and it is sterling silver. Utterly unique and fascinating Egyptian Revival. Approx: 1 5/8 x 1 1/8.
